Telesonic is a free, peer-to-peer tool for sharing the audio of a browser tab. By using the extension or this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
01 What Telesonic is
Telesonic is a browser extension and a static listener page that let one browser share the audio of a tab with other browsers through a private link. It is not a recording, hosting, broadcasting or conferencing service. It is not a substitute for emergency, medical or safety communications.
The service is free and does not require an account. A link is live only while the sharer keeps the stream running.
02 Who can use it
You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country. If you are below that age, use Telesonic only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for making sure your use complies with the laws that apply to you.
03 Your responsibilities
- Only share audio you have the right to share with the people you send it to.
- Do not use Telesonic for illegal, abusive, harassing or harmful activity.
- Do not share a link with people you do not want to listen. Anyone with the link can listen.
- You are responsible for the tabs you share and for complying with the terms of the sites you use.
04 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- capture or distribute audio you do not have permission to share;
- record or redistribute other people’s audio without the consent required by law;
- use the service to surveil, harass, threaten or violate another person’s privacy;
- break, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service or its signaling infrastructure;
- distribute malware, spam or unlawful content through a link;
- misrepresent an affiliation with Telesonic.
05 Links are keys
A Telesonic link contains a random 7-letter room id. There is no password or login: the link is the capability. Anyone who has it can listen while the sharer is live. Treat it like a key, do not post it publicly unless you want the public to listen, and press Stop sharing to revoke it.
06 Audio and copyright
Audio you share remains yours, or the property of its rights holders. Telesonic claims no ownership of it. The service does not host or store audio, so there is no central copy to take down; a stream exists only while the sharer keeps it live.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to share a tab. Do not use Telesonic to redistribute music, broadcasts, calls or other content in violation of copyright or privacy law. If you believe a link is being used to infringe your rights, contact the sharer and, if needed, the operator through the contact details below.
07 Availability
Telesonic is provided as-is and as-available, without a service-level commitment. The operator may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. Links are ephemeral: they stop working when the sharer stops, the tab closes, the browser quits or the session ends. Audio quality and reach depend on your browser, network and third-party infrastructure.
08 Third parties
Telesonic uses Vercel for hosting and the public PeerJS cloud for signaling. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies. The operator is not responsible for third-party services, networks or browsers.
09 Privacy
The privacy policy explains what is handled. In short: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no audio stored. Audio is sent live, peer-to-peer, only to listeners who have the link.
10 Intellectual property
The Telesonic name, logo, site design and software are protected by applicable law. No licence is granted except the limited right to use the service as intended. Audio shared through the service remains with its owners.
11 Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Telesonic is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. The operator does not warrant that a link will reach every listener or that audio will be free of interruptions.
12 Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill or opportunities arising from your use of Telesonic. The operator’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is zero.
Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations. In that case, the parts that cannot be limited do not apply to you, and the rest remains in effect.
13 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from claims, damages, losses and expenses arising out of your use of Telesonic, the audio you share, or your violation of these terms or the rights of another person.
14 Changes
These terms may be updated as the product changes. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised. Continuing to use Telesonic after an update means you accept the revised terms.
15 Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts at that place have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a different forum.
